- 성격 및 목적:
영어권 재외동포 및 외국인 젊은이를 본국에 초청하여, 주중에는 농산어촌 초등학교 방과후수업에서 영어를 가르치고, 주말에는 한국문화, 사회, 산업 등을 배우고 체험케 함으로써, 농산어촌 어린이들의 영어공교육과 국제이해교육을 강화하고, 참가하는 젊은이들의 인류애 실현기회를 제공하는 “가르치고 배우는" 일명 TaLK(Teach and Lean in Korea) 프로그램
- 특색:
방과후수업으로 일주일 15시간 수업, 주말 한국체험 프로그램 제공
왕복항공권, 장학금(연 16,000불정도), 숙소(원룸 또는 홈스테이) 제공
의료보험 제공, 한국대학생도우미와 팀티칭, 6개월 활동 가능
- 모집기간: 상반기(3~5월, 8월 입국), 하반기(9월~11월, 익년 2월 입국)
- 대상: 영어권 재외동포 및 영어모국어 구사 대학 2학년 이상 수료자
- 모집절차:
지원서 제출(TaLK 웹사이트 온라인)면접(교육원 방문, 웹캠 등)
구비서류 제출최종심사영어회화비자 신청항공권 수령한국 입국
4주간 무료 오리엔테이션학교 배치, 장학활동 시작
- 제출서류: 지원서(온라인), 성적증명서, 추천서, 범죄기록증명서, 여권사본 등
- 모집인원: 매 학기당 50명 내외

Eligibility Have at least 2 years of undergraduate studies completed Have a completed bachelor's degree
Contract Period 6 months or 1 year one year (renewable)
Main Duty Teach English 15 hours a week in the after-school programs Teach English 22 hours a week during regular school hours
Scholarship or Salary Monthly Scholarship of about $1,300 Monthly pay of about $1,600~$2,400 based on the eligibility background

[TaLK] TaLK Program(Teach and Learn in Korea)

TEACH and LEARN IN KOREA (TaLK) Program

The Korean Ministry of Education, Science & Technology invites qualified undergraduate students to apply for the Korean government scholarship to teach and learn in Korea.

Selected scholars will receive Korean government scholarships and teach English in after-school classes of Korean elementary schools while enjoying cultural experience programs during their leisure time with either a six-month or one-year contract.

This serves as an excellent opportunity for ethnic Koreans and foreigners to be exposed to the language and culture of Korea while sharing knowledge and culture with Korean students.

 

ELIGIBILITY

Citizen of a country where English is the primary official language

(Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa., U.K., U.S.A.)

Ethnic Koreans with legal residencies are eligible also.

An undergraduate student with two or more years of university education, or a college/university graduate

Ethnic Koreans who are in their 1st or 2nd year of college/university are eligible also.
