Korean classes are expected to be opened at Foothill High School and Amador Valley High School in Pleasanton Unified School District this fall in 2021 to the fastest.
Thus, the students in Pleasanton Unified School District would be able to take advantage of Korean class and cultural activities.
The course selection program will include Korean classes starting February,
so the immediate task is promoting and spreading the words of Korean class to the students and the parents aggressively and widely. This will bring the Korean classes to reality.

There was a slim chance to make it happen last year, but the lack of registrations didn't meet the requirement; however, this year is different.
The president of KPA (Korean Parents Association in Pleasanton), Eun-Ah Lee, and the president of Hansamo (Association which loves Korea), Sun-Hwa Baik, have been making tremendous efforts to promote Korean Classes to the community. Presidents of the Korean Culture Club, Elliot Kang from Amador Valley High School, and Nayoung Lee and Jiho Choi from Foothill High School,
play an important role in motivating and encouraging their peers.

There will be a series of Webinars that will introduce about Korean class curriculum, Grading Policy, Korean Honor Society etc. to have more students get informed on Feb 11 and 12, 2021.
Anyone who has an idea of Korean class selection and management can contact the director of Korean Education Center in SF(Chang-Sook Woo).
Information about the webinar can be shared and discussed openly, and any thoughts and opinions are welcome anytime.
