The Korean 'Hanbok' Fashion Show Modeling Audition
The Korean Consulate General in San Francisco is proudly hosting the special “Hanbok(traditional Korean attire) Fashion Show” on Thursday, September 30th at 5pm at the Fairmont San Francisco to celebrate Korea’s major holiday “National Foundation Day” and the 25th Anniversary of “Hanbok Day”. Held exclusively as a VIP-only event where only 150 high political figures and guests are invited, this private Hanbok Fashion Show is an intimate opportunity to experience a rare blend of traditional Korean attire with high-end modern fashion.
We will be inviting Korea’s top celebrity Hanbok fashion designer “Ham Eun Jeong” directly from Korea to showcase her talented and delicate work to the American public. We hope our models from diverse backgrounds can participate in celebrating the significance of diversity, and help observers reimagine the traditional practices of Korean cultural attire and customs.
As a result, we would like to cordially invite 30 women and 10 men as models to engage in a rare opportunity in wearing Hanbok and walking on the runway. Models interested in participating in this distinct event MUST satisfy the requirements provided below to qualify:
1. This is a full day event. The model must be fully available on Thursday, September 30th at 8AM – 6PM. All hair, makeup, and rehearsal will take place on the same day prior to the evening event. The actual event is 1 hour, and will take place on September 30th at 5pm – 6pm.
2. Women model height must be at least 5’5 (165cm). Men model height must be at least 5’7 (175cm).
3. Please note that this is NOT a paid event, but a wonderful opportunity to experience and participate in the best and finest in Korean traditional fashion.

Anyone who qualifies and applies for the event are welcome to attend the LIVE modeling audition. To participate in the Audition, please come to the Consulate General, located on 3500 Clay St, San Francisco, CA 94118, on September 15th at 5-7PM.
