The Korean Education Center in San Francisco, in collaboration with the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea, held an exhibition of award-winning works from the 2023 and 2024 Hangeul Contest at the Consulate’s reception hall. The Korean Education Center hosts the Hangeul Contest annually to encourage Korean language learning among students of Korean schools. This year, 20 selected pieces were displayed at the Consulate, and 11 students had the opportunity to introduce their works in Korean. Director Hye-Jung Heo also held discussions in March and April with representatives from local institutions such as the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and the Asian Art Museum to explore ways to further utilize the student works. The Center plans to expand such initiatives going forward.
