On August 21, Director Hye Jung Heo visited Claire Lilienthal Elementary School together with a delegation of vice principals from elementary schools in Daegu. Claire Lilienthal Elementary School, where a Korean language program was introduced more than 30 years ago, is a historic institution and currently the only school in Northern California operating a Korean dual-language program. On this day, the delegation presented Korean fairy tale books, hanbok, and traditional play materials brought from Korea, while Director Heo delivered financial support provided by the Korean government. They also held a meeting to discuss ways to promote Korean language education and student exchanges both online and offline, and observed classes in kindergarten as well as in the 1st and 2nd grades.
